Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Head of the parliamentary Standing committee on social policy, education, culture and sciences D.Battsogt Friday received a delegation headed by Mr Michael O’Sullivan, CEO of the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE).

The latter thanked the Standing committee head for the audience and presented him an implementation and outcomes of a Cambridge program, after which the sides exchanged views on a policy and quality reforms of Mongolia’s education and directions of the further cooperation.

In frames of the Mongolia-Cambridge education initiative, Mongolia’s Ministry of Education, Culture and Sciences and the CIE are collaborating in introducing nationwide a final exam results evaluation system of pupils, a related upgraded program, and an evaluation-based system in the first half of 2015. In addition, members of the program on formulation of training program have made decisions on assistance for experimental programs with support from the Cambridge’s consultants.

Present at the meeting were also Yo.Otgonbayar MP; B.Nasanbayar, a head of the Ministry’s Department on strategy, policy and planning; and other officials.
